Look up... the words Christ whispered to me during college when I kept my head down in my journal and buried in scripture. He would call me during adoration time to look up and adore His face in the Eucharist. I hear those words now again. Look up at the cross and gaze at His face like my child gazes at mine. What a profound thing to rest in. My son learning who I am by looking at me is symbolic of how I should be looking at our Lord and learning Him, studying Him, so I may see Him in everyone and everything around me.

This is a beautiful reflection. He calls me to gaze on him, especially on the cross, but at times, I find that it is to difficult so I busy myself with charity work and pretend that is what He wants of me. It also reminds me of the Lauren Daigle song, one of my favorites.
Just stumbled across this when revisiting your website and dang, this struck me as the most beautiful thing I’ve read in a while. You have a beautiful heart and a perceptive, open mind, Morgan!
